"I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour in 2000 when I was 10 years old. At that time, with all the friends in my neighbourhood, we went to church to the children’s meeting on Sundays."

“What I liked most were the songs and the lessons from the Bible. When the teacher gave us stories from the Bible and asked us to memorise verses, I did it with a great joy in my heart. At that time, I had a great desire to have the whole Bible, and when my teacher asked questions from the Bible, I answered them all, so I won a Bible in a small competition. Finally, God heard my prayer. Once I had the Bible in my hands, I said: ‘You are my friend.’ And this friend of mine (the Bible), really helped me in my walk with God.

“I was baptised in 2003 and I began to grow more in God. Today I am the pastor of a church (Light for the Nations Church in Korce) that I planted in 2012. The church has over 50 members. God has led me my whole life, and has been faithful to me. I still have the Bible that I won in the children’s meeting competition. It is very old and used now, but it is making my life new in Christ every day.”

Marsel attended ISTL in Tirana, graduating in 2018. Regular church activities include the weekly Sunday service, prayer meeting, pre-teens and youth meetings. He is gifted in music and often leads worship on the guitar.
