Petre was involved in various activities and ministries: deacon, elder, preacher and youth pastor. In September 2007, he was ordained as senior pastor of the Evangelical Church in Shtip.
The Evangelical Church in Shtip dates back to the late 1980’s as part of the Evangelical Movement in the former Yugoslavia. A missionary couple moved from Belgrade to Shtip. They started a home group and later they bought a house, and on April 28, 1991, the first Sunday service officially took place.
In October 2018 Petre took a step of faith and left his business career to go into full time ministry. His passion is to reach young people, to make disciples and to raise a new generation of leaders. Also, to plant new churches and to reach the unreached for Christ.
Petre is married to Daniela, and they have two sons, Ivan and Daniel. Petre enjoyed a long-standing business career, having successfully worked in managerial positions as production manager, technical director and general director. Looking back, this seems like God’s preparation for him to be appointed as President of the Evangelical Church in North Macedonia in 2021, which has now been confirmed until the end of 2026.
