Eri Ndreca at the Lausanne Conference.
Last year, Eri Ndreca, the Vice Director of International School of Theology & Leadership travelled to Seoul-Incheon, South Korea to take part in the Lausanne Conference. This was only the fourth conference since the Lausanne Movement began in 1974 in Switzerland, a movement that focuses on mission and discipleship within every part of society. TEN part-funded Eri’s trip as part of our strategy to support women in Christian leadership. Here is what Eri shared about her experience:
Over the past thirteen years, I have had the privilege of serving young leaders at ISTL, a role that continually fuels my passion for empowering the next generation.
Last September, I had the incredible opportunity to join the Lausanne Movement gathering in Seoul, South Korea.
This event brought together over 5,000 evangelical leaders from more than 200 countries, marking the 50th anniversary of the Lausanne Movement.
It was the largest global gathering of its kind, and the sense of unity and shared purpose was palpable.
The week was marked by moments of sharing, witnessing, and contributing to the broader mission of the global evangelical church. Each morning began with powerful expository sessions, and afterward, we gathered in small groups for discussion and prayer, reflecting deeply on what we had heard. In the afternoons, we divided into collaborative teams, engaged in discussions and determined practical actions to support our shared goals. Through these sessions, my heart was ignited, not only for what I could personally contribute but also for the incredible potential of the global church when united in purpose.
This experience has left me with a renewed sense of mission and a powerful reminder of what we, as a global community, can achieve. I look forward to carrying this fire forward as I continue my work with ISTL, inspired by the possibilities of what God can accomplish through us all.
